2016 - life update
How is it already June?!?! The first five months of 2016 have flown by and I'm not too sure where they disappeared to.
One downfall for 2016 is the blog - I haven't been updating it as much as I would of liked to. On that note, I'm going to pick myself up and start setting a schedule of regular blog posts, that will come under the same title, but feature different content and one off blog posts - you heard it hear first, lets out the thought into practice.
So, what I have been up to since my last summary in January (you can read that post here):
Work - Since joining Sweaty Betty in January, I have fallen in love with the people, community and boutique, there have been a number of changes in management, which meant a space opened up for a new Assistant Manager, I applied and got the job! Whoop! Instead of working a few days of the week and every Sunday, I now work five days a week, every other Saturday and I have my Sundays back.
It's amazing how in such a short space of time you can meet people that you know will be come your friends for life - this was proven to me on my Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica, but I wasn't sure if I would find it when I was back at home in the UK.
Yoga - I have been focusing on my own practice at home and attending classes in the area. I feel my confidence in being able to teach a large class, isn't where it should be and some self doubt has set in - but more on that in a later blog post.
I am now fully insured and have my Yoga Alliance badge (found on my 'About' page), I am all ready to go - just need to find that confidence.
Home - In January, I spoke about planning on some home improvements - one of the BIG items on the list was sofa's. We now have these and spent a joyful few hours in IKEA picking out book cases and photo frames and all the other items you never knew you needed until you saw them. I'll post separately about the home improvements and will add some photos, but in short, it is all coming together and feeling more cosy and like home.
The next six months - Chris and I have one holiday planned, which we are looking forward to, hopefully there will be sun involved. Also to start teaching on a weekly basis.
I'm living a lot in the now and not planning/putting too much pressure on myself to make far off goals at the moment. But I know the itchy feet will set in soon and that'll soon change - watch this space.
I hope your first half of 2016 has been filled with some amazing adventures and exciting activities. I'd love to hear them in the comments below.
