The outfit - Restorative yoga
Restorative yoga focuses on healing the mind and body through asanas (poses), often held for as long as 20 minutes per asana, The asanas are aided with props such as bolsters, pillows, blocks and straps to help you achieve your edge within the pose - the edge is the depth in an asana where you are challenged, but not so far that you experience injury or strain.
Restorative yoga is similar to Yin yoga, but with less emphasis on flexibility and more on relaxing.
Being comfortable and warm while holding asanas, is very important in this style of yoga. When you are reaching your edge in the pose, you don't want your mind to wander to the uncomfortable bra strap that is cutting into your shoulder or the chill that is giving your arms goose bumps. You want to be able to move freely and at ease, in order to fully relax and enjoy the class.
